Carlo, 22, lives at the foot of Mount Vesuvius with his grandfather, Antonio. Desperate to escape poverty, he agrees to smuggle drugs from Spain to Naples.

In Barcelona, he meets Juliette, a vibrant and free-spirited French woman whose carefree nature awakens in him a longing for escape. But Antonio’s sudden death plunges him into despair. Forced to continue his mission, Carlo begins to crumble under the weight of his lies. On a sudden impulse, he changes course, heading for Marseille, Juliette's home. The port city becomes the crossroads of his destiny—between flight and rebirth. Facing Juliette, Carlo realizes that what he seeks is not love, but freedom. In Marseille, his primo viaggio comes to an end, marking the start of a new life, unshackled from his Neapolitan past.
