HALLEY PRODUCTION (previously known as MARE NOSTRUM) is an independent French production company creating films for French, European, and international audiences. Deeply committed to European co-productions, the company’s mission is to produce films with a strong artistic vision, rooted in local and European history, by bringing together talent from across the continent driven by a shared creative ambition.
The company was founded by Alexandra Lebret, who has been a central figure in the film industry since 2001 through her role as Director of the European Producers Club. Drawing on this extensive experience, Alexandra is actively involved in international co-production and film financing.
Alexandra Lebret later partnered with Andrea Marcelli to further strengthen HALLEY PRODUCTION’s commitment to impactful filmmaking. Andrea brings broad expertise in international fiction editing, sustainability, and strategic operations, expanding the company’s vision and reach. Drawing on his knowledge of the industry, Corentin Koskas joined the company in 2025 to expand its production and innovation capabilities, contributing to the development of new projects and exploring new opportunities.
The company has produced a dozen films and received multiple awards, confirming HALLEY PRODUCTION’s strong presence at major festivals and within international markets. Today, the company plays a key role in the development of films and TV/Web series with a bold editorial identity, continually innovating to surprise and engage audiences across Europe and beyond.
